EXCEL MARCO WINS CONTRACT FROM SEMBCORP MARINE TO PROVIDE SAFETY SYSTEM PACKAGE

Excel Marco has won an order from mainboard listed company, Sembcorp Marine Limited to provide Safety System package for self-propelled New Semisubmersible Crane Vessel (SSCV) Sleipnir for Heerema Marine Contractors (HMC).

The SSCV, measuring 772 feet (220 meters) long and 335 feet (102 meters) wide, will be equipped with two 10,000 ton cranes for use in offshore construction and heavy lifting.

Excel Marco is supplying the Remote Shutdown System, Fire Detection System and Safety Monitoring & Control System (SMCS) – Decision Support System to be installed for the Semisubmersible Crane Vessel Sleipnir.

The SSCV Sleipnir is currently under construction in Sembcorp Marine’s Jurong Shipyard in Singapore and was reported to be the largest of its type built to date.
