Excel Marco's High Integrity Pressure Protection System (HIPPS) is a Safety Instrumented System (SIS) designed to prevent overpressure in pipelines and process equipment before dangerous conditions occur. By continuously monitoring process pressure and automatically isolating the source of excess pressure, HIPPS safeguards personnel, protects valuable assets and ensures uninterrupted plant operations.

 

Our HIPPS solutions are engineered to comply with international functional safety standards, as according to IEC 61508 and IEC 61511. They are suitable for high-risk industries where system reliability and safety are paramount.

WHAT IS HIPPS? 

A High Integrity Pressure Protection System is an independent safety layer that detects abnormal pressure conditions and automatically shuts off the pressure source before equipment design limits are exceeded.

 

Unlike conventional pressure relief systems, HIPPS prevents overpressure without releasing hazardous fluids into the environment, making it a safer and more environmentally responsible solution.
