EXCEL MARCO CLINCHES FPSO CONTRACT FOR ICSS FROM SBM

Excel Marco has once again been awarded a contract by SBM Offshore, world’s largest FPSO contractor, for the provision of turn-key solution for Integrated Control & Safety System (ICSS) to the Aseng FPSO (Floating Production Storage Offloading vessel). This FPSO will be SBM’s first in the Aseng field, offshore Equatorial Guinea.

Under the contract, Excel Marco will provide the complete Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS), comprising of the Process Control System (PCS) and the Safety Instrumented System (SIS), Fire & Gas System (FGS) and High Integrity Pressure Protection System (HIPPS) with a total of about 5000 hardwired IO counts. The PCS and SIL-rated SIS, FGS and HIPPS are functionally independent yet seamlessly integrated with Peer-to-Peer communications using Siemens PCS7 safety communication blocks, for ease of operation and maintenance.
