EXCEL MARCO WINS CONTRACT FROM WATER TREATMENT SPECIALIST, TEDAGUA - HSL

Excel Marco has won an order from Tedagua Singapore Pte Ltd, a leader in design & construction of seawater desalination plants, to supply a Process Control System package for the country’s 3rd Desalination Plant located in Tuas.

The plant will be constructed by HSL Constructor Pte Ltd and will be one of the largest seawater desalination plant in the region.

The plant uses Reverse-Osmosis technology for the treatment of seawater, and will boost a capacity of producing 30 million gallons of water daily when completed. The expectations of a modern plant is fulfilled by integration of smart instrumentation into its process control, as well as “smart technologies” to improve operational efficiency and aid analysis of data.

Excel Marco is supplying the process control integration for the entire plant, from intake of seawater, to pre-treatment, Reverse-Osmosis, post-treatment and finally distribution of treated water to the National Tap. Modern plant features include an electronic shift-handover software, Energy Monitoring System and an Operator Training Simulator.

The desalination plant is the 3rd to be constructed in Tuas, and will be followed by two more desalination plants in Marina East and Jurong Island in the PUB’s pipeline.
